TT-303

I’ve built a cheat sheet for the Cyclone Analogic TT-303 Bass Bot, written from the Bass Bot manual (OS 2.0) and checked against the Roland TB-303 owner’s manual where the two overlap. It covers the original TT-303 (v1) running OS 2.0. A short “Start Here” section at the front explains how the pieces of the machine fit together before you get into the details.

There are two versions:

  • Desktop: two-column layout for printing or reading on a computer or tablet.
  • Mobile: the same content sized for reading on a mobile device.

Both have a clickable table of contents, so you can jump straight to any section. The English version is shown below. The cheat sheet can be downloaded in English, Deutsch, Español, Français, Italiano, Nederlands, Português (Brasil) and 日本語.

What’s in it

  • A shortcuts and MIDI reference with every key combination, the MIDI implementation chart and the MIDI notes that trigger each pattern.
  • A short “Read when…” line at the top of every section, so you know straight away if it’s the one you need.
  • Sections for the panel and connections, operating modes, preset patterns, writing patterns, editing patterns, playing and performing, tracks, the arpeggiator, MIDI and sync, system and maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • A section of TB-303 notes with facts from the original 303 manual that carry over in spirit but aren’t confirmed for the TT-303.

Features added in OS 2.0 are tagged, so you can see which ones need the newer firmware. Facts that come from the TB-303 manual rather than the Bass Bot manual are tagged too.
