Many years ago, I taught one-on-one classes and gave lectures on wide range of audio production and engineering. To help some of my students then, I put together a guide to help them get up to speed with the concepts and terms needed for them to follow along with the course material.
This booklet touches on the subjects of sound synthesis, filters, envelopes, compression, midi, digital audio, effects and a number of other building blocks needed for modern day music production.
I’ve decided to convert that document into a PDF and offer it for free for anyone to learn from. Knowledge is power. I hope this helps you make some great music in the future.
